Colorful Leaves and a Puppy.

The moment I drove into the park, I was awestruck by the colourful autumn leaves on the trees. The temperature was perfect. The Canadian Geese were swarming around the pond. Such a perfect day for an outdoor photo shoot session today with a lovely couple with their adorable pug puppy. I'm honoured to get a glimpse of their love story.

Working with Denise, Jayson, and Tikki was one awesome experience! I'm so grateful for this opportunity because I'm able to add more of my work to my portfolio.

Golden Field and Gray Sky.

Yesterday evening, I went out to an open, golden field with stacked hay bales for an hour photo session with the Coutu family. The sky was looking very gray and dull, and the breeze was chilly, but their moods were incredibly happy. The two adorable boys were so ecstatic about having a chance to play on the hay bales, and the dogs were running around, happily. The mother was enjoying herself, watching her kids having the time of their lives. The energy was extremely positive.

Working with this great family was a huge experience for me, because I never worked with more than two people at a photo session. It took me a while to learn their energy and work with them. At the end of the session, I was feeling very good about the pictures that I took. I knew that this photo session was important to them, because they chose me to take family portraits of them. It was a huge upgrade for them because they went from Wal-Mart photo studio to an outdoor and fun photo session with me.

What a huge opportunity, and my portfolio is growing!

Purple Dress and Blue Sky.

I woke up to beautiful blue sky this morning, and it was such a perfect weather for outdoor grad photoshoot with Natasha Evans! She came over early in the morning with her big purple dress. We went down the highway for a bit to find a perfect fields to romp around for pictures. 139 shots at the end of the shoot, amazing! We worked extremely well together, and she was such a delight to work with. I felt extremely accomplished after the shoot because I was getting more creative with the angles. So inspiring!

On a side note, I read my resumé that I made for Career Development class in 9th grade. I noticed that I put photography under "Hobbies & Interests" - I didn't realize that my passion was already burning a long time ago. So amazing!

I'm falling deeper in love with my Rebel, photography, and this feeling of accomplishment.

Potential.

Today, I had my first actual photography gig with my dear friend, Patricia Agostinho! Our meeting place was at the eclectic and artsy heart of Winnipeg, Osborne Village. Sadly enough, the sky was pouring when we started the photoshoot. Disappointed, we did our first couple shots by the Toad pub. The start of the shoot was very excellent 'cause we had such a good chemistry and we both knew how to work together very well. My confidence level definitely had a boost there. Amazing enough, the stormy weather cleared up, and the blueness came out! We were able to move on to different scenarios, and we also went to Exchange District, my favourite place in Winnipeg!

Honestly, I could say today was a good day to experiment with my Rebel and the subject. Overall, I got 82 shots of her, and chose 25 best photos. Patricia wrote a really positive review on the Facebook page that made me smile from ear to ear - "Hello, I want to say its very pleased to did the photo shoot with you today. You're really great photographer. i think you have a potential in photography. You're better than other few photographer that i have worked with because you know how to make a connections with the people to feel comfortable with you and do photo shoot for anything such wedding, individuals, grad and etc. You're very easy to work with because you're very flexible, open minded, patient, and easygoing photographer." Yippee! Positive experience with this so far!

Can't wait to have a shoot with Natasha Evans with her gorgeous, purple grad dress on Tuesday!
