A Picture Is Worth A 1,000 Words.

I apologize for not keeping up with my blog, but what can I say? It's summer time, and that means I'm super-b busy with fabulous summer plans! This summer have been treating me wonderful lately, and I'm very grateful for each opportunity.

Jordan and I went to my cabin also known as paradise at Malachi, Ontario for a week with my family. I had a ton of opportunities to take wonderful shots because of the beautiful surrounding. Jordan and I finally became official again on July 15 after two months break, and we celebrated his birthday at the cabin as well. It was a fun-filled week!

We returned to Winnipeg for my cousin, Taylor's wedding. It was such an emotional day because my entire family have never seen my cousin so happy and in love with a girl before, and we welcomed Alicia into our family. The backyard setting for the wedding was perfectly gorgeous, but we all were under a huge white tent due to the on and off rain.
Shortly after the wedding, I got myself tattooed with two beautiful stars on my hip bones. It is a very spontaneous moment, and I don't regret it one bit. For people who are wondering why I chose stars, I'm absolutely absorbed into astronomy, and I'm always fascinated by them ever since I was a young lass.

My dear bestfriend, Chris, (the one who is holding a cup with pink straw) moved to Calgary yesterday for university. We had a mini farewell late lunch at an amazing crepe/bubble tea place, Kawaii Crepe. It was my friends' first visit, and they absolutely loved it there! It's pretty upsetting for all of us to let him go. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving, so I could see him again.

Yesterday, Jordan and I went to Gimli because I've never been there, even though I lived in Winnipeg in my entire life. We brought my dear chihuahua, Cooper with us. It was an amazing afternoon because I pretty much fell in love with the town. It's so beachy, and reminds me a lot like Seaside, Oregon. (Jordan and I stayed there for a week for a beach volleyball tournament). Cooper definitely enjoyed himself as well, and he passed out the minute we got back to the car. So adorable!

Life's sweet.

Potential.

Today, I had my first actual photography gig with my dear friend, Patricia Agostinho! Our meeting place was at the eclectic and artsy heart of Winnipeg, Osborne Village. Sadly enough, the sky was pouring when we started the photoshoot. Disappointed, we did our first couple shots by the Toad pub. The start of the shoot was very excellent 'cause we had such a good chemistry and we both knew how to work together very well. My confidence level definitely had a boost there. Amazing enough, the stormy weather cleared up, and the blueness came out! We were able to move on to different scenarios, and we also went to Exchange District, my favourite place in Winnipeg!

Honestly, I could say today was a good day to experiment with my Rebel and the subject. Overall, I got 82 shots of her, and chose 25 best photos. Patricia wrote a really positive review on the Facebook page that made me smile from ear to ear - "Hello, I want to say its very pleased to did the photo shoot with you today. You're really great photographer. i think you have a potential in photography. You're better than other few photographer that i have worked with because you know how to make a connections with the people to feel comfortable with you and do photo shoot for anything such wedding, individuals, grad and etc. You're very easy to work with because you're very flexible, open minded, patient, and easygoing photographer." Yippee! Positive experience with this so far!

Can't wait to have a shoot with Natasha Evans with her gorgeous, purple grad dress on Tuesday!
